A Baldness Cure You Might Be Waiting For
Since time immemorial up to this day, Baldness is still a common disease prevalent among Men that is without a cure. While this may be the case still to the present all over the world, Shiseido, a Japanese cosmetic company is expecting something that will turn this reality around for the better – there shall be a Cure to Baldness in three years’ time from now.
When you think of it, three years from now is not that far off and is one thing better looking forward to than nothing at all and is something those who are already experiencing some Thinning of Hair, or worst, Baldness on the top of the head, concentrated or diffused, could personally relate to.
The Idea Behind the Expectation
In an attempt to make this expectation and many people’s wish into a fruition, Shiseido side-by-side with the RepliCel Life Sciences, began a project some dubbed as “Hair Regeneration” which aims to replicate the Hair Follicles, which, in turn, can be used against two of the most serious causes of Hair Loss in either Men or Women – the Male Pattern Baldness or the Female Pattern Baldness, also known as the Androgenic Alopecia.
Based on the discovery of a 2012 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine winner, Shinya Yamanaka, the RepliCel method is a process which involves transforming Mature Cells into Stem Cells.
Although current usage of this groundbreaking discovery was meant to create “Cell Pharmaceuticals” which are used to repair nerve damage, there is a likely potential to its mechanism, which, if implemented properly could be the cash cow for Hair Loss medicine.
Popularized by the name of Pluripotent Cell, the study was further intensified with supplementing studies from the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute in California which relates the discovery to Genetic Hair Loss.
According to the study, with the aid of the Pluripotent Cells, a human stem cell can be converted to Dermal Papilla Cells which are responsible for the formation of Hair Follicles, even the process of the Hair Growth Cycle itself.
The study was no empty claim, however. Experimental trials have shown that through the use of the Pluripotent Cells, lab mice were successfully grown with hairs and whose likelihood is also seen towards man.
Expected Launch of Baldness Cure
As though yet to be licensed elsewhere, countries which already have an early license of this awaited innovative product will find it as a Hair Loss Product “RCH-01,” namely in Asian countries such as China, Japan, and South Korea. This is in accordance to the press release issued by Shiseido which also highlights the exclusive licensing to Shiseido.
Although 2018 is a certain year by which we might be able to look at the finished product, there is not yet a specific date to it on exactly when on the same year.
To date, the product is still undergoing many clinical trials while Shiseido itself is going through testing of the unfinished product but with the added “device” with the product in the picture.
Please Watch the 2-Part Video below from Shiseido explaining into further details how the discovery will help cure Baldness by Year 2018.
